MICHELE YU found her way to production design by way of the intern closet at the Sci Fi Channel. Fresh out of UC San Diego with degrees in Anthropology and Fine Arts, she blindly agreed to art direct another intern's short film, and fell in love with production design immediately. Since then she's worked with many young and talented filmmakers on everything from music videos, to student films, to indie shorts and features. Last summer she completed work as Production Designer on her first feature-length film, MR.SADMAN, which is currently in post. Her latest project, completed this February, was production designing a short produced by 5432 Films for Heavy.com and sponsored by Verizon.

After gaining industry experience as a development assistant at Sci Fi, Michele decided to pursue production design in earnest, and moved on to work with the art department on "Singles Table" for NBC. This was followed by a string of independent productions, where she's had to create everything from custom-made man-sized goat's hooves to a house turned upside-down by a deranged living teddy bear. At the same time, she began working with the non-profit arts organization Machine Project in Echo Park, and currently serves as its Master of Operations, where she's asked to help deal with even stranger things on a daily basis.

CINDY CHAO was born and bred in the city of Los Angeles, she has performed various roles in independent films, documentaries, commercials and shorts for the last five years including: art production assistant, actress (once as an escort!), researcher, editor, and stylist assistant, and most recently as a set dresser for the production of MR. SADMAN.

When she's not on set, Cindy is working for the London-based international Film and Television distribution company ContentFilm, whose current film slate includes MANBREAK starring Chloe Sevigny, and HAMLET 2 which recently premiered at Sundance and stars Steve Coogan and Amy Poehler.

Prior to ContentFilm, Cindy interned at Sony Pictures for the production designer-turned-director, Catherin Hardwicke (THIRTEEN, LORDS OF DOGTOWN).

Cindy holds a BA from UC San Diego in both Communications and Visual Arts, with a concentration in Film/Video. She is currently pursing an AAS in Interior Design at UCLA.

The following is a series of text messages between Director of Photography ELISHA CHRISTIAN and Mike.

ELISHA: About my bio... got any ideas? I'm really bad at this stuff. I'd like to make mention of us working together/collaborating in the past, and that I'm a still photographer as well. And that I once killed a man.

ELISHA: Also I was rasied by wolves.

ELISHA: And I'm a spy.

MIKE: I'll just use these texts as the bio!

ELISHA: And I'm a pretentious asshole. E's photo web page http://jpgmag.com/people/sharkskill
